Cesarean BirthIf you plan to deliver by cesarean section or if the need for a cesarean delivery arises during your pregnancy or labor, you can have confidence in the skill of both our Doctor and the team at Mountainside that enable cesareans to be performed in the safest way possible.
A neonatologist is present for every cesarean delivery to assess the baby and provide support as needed. In addition, as part of Wombkeeper's commitment to the Baby Friendly Initiative, we are working the make cesarean delivery a more family friendly experience as well, by implementing many components of the “natural cesarean,” which includes infant and mother skin to skin contact in the operating room and less separation of mom and baby in the first hours after birth. |
