Renewal Center for Birth Positions
Midwife Birth Center Laborist: CNM
We are seeking a team of midwives to be on call for our birthing center, performing triage, labor support and management, serving primarily in the birth assistant role, in collaboration with patient's primary midwife or physician provider. Midwife will perform all patient intake and exams, vital signs and fetal monitoring, newborn exam, inpatient postpartum care, and 24 hour postpartum visits. Midwife will also provide primary provider coverage within the birth center as needed, performing deliveries for primary provider patients during PTO/vacation or hospital patient conflict. This is a call-from-home role, with 4 hours of outpatient office weekly, mainly seeing birth center patients in their third trimester. Provider will be on call 3-5 times per week, inclusive of no more than 2 weekends per month, and may expect to work up to 80 clinical hours per month, with bonusing for more clinical hours. Part-time option also available.
- Requirements:
Arizona Midwifery Licence in good standing, NRP certification, BLS certification, 2 years of active midwifery experience, performing deliveries. Will consider new graduates with significant labor and delivery nursing experience. Ideal candidate will have birth center experience and/or experience supporting women in unmedicated labors
Labor and Postpartum Birth Assistant: RN
We are seeking nurses to join our Birthing Center team to provide care for our mother in labor, care for our new babies, and our mothers and babies after delivery. Ideal candidate is enthusiastic about holistic maternal health care and natural birth, with experience in Labor and Delivery, NICU, PICU, or Well-Baby Nursing. BLS or ACLS and NRP required, as well as attendance at birth center safety drills and orientation. This is a per diem position, which will initially be heavier on call need than attendance at births, but we do anticipate significant growth in the coming year. Reimbursement is per hour and competitive. Work environment is friendly and low stress, with a high value placed on our amazing birth teams.
Consulting Pediatrician, Family Practice Physician, or Nurse Practioner
Seeking a physician or nurse practitioner to provide newborn exams and consultation services at our birthing center prior to discharge. Structure and reimbursement flexible according to physician or nurse practitioner needs.
Provider Positions
Staff Midwife
We are looking to expand our team of staff midwives in 2025. Seeking experienced midwives, with comfort with out-of-hospital birth, to care for our birthing center patients, as well as the option to obtain hospital privileges and provide hospital-based birth. Well-supported structure with in-house OB collaboration available at all times and parallel transfers, RN or midwife birthing assistants/postpartum, and well prepared patient base with in-house wellness program. Required: licensed CNM in the state of Arizona, NRP and BLS certified.
Associate Physician
We are currently seeking an OB/GYN to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a new and growing practice with an integrative, wellness focus for both our patients and our employees. Ideal applicant is interested in and supportive of a low intervention model of obstetrics care and shared decision making with patients and comfortable caring for patients desiring unmedicated birth, VBAC, and vaginal twin deliveries. Wellness Center Positions
Doula
We are currently seeking two Associate Doulas to work with our doula team. Doulas in our team participate in a call schedule and provide doula support for our patients both in the hospital and birthing center who labor on their call days. Patients are not individually assigned to individual doulas, but doulas provide support in a team fashion. Doulas typically cover 2-3 calls per week and are required to attend a monthly "meet your labor support" night to become acquainted with our patients in order to participate in the program. Doulas can expect to provide labor support for 2-4 patients per month, depending on patient volume and number of calls taken per month.
For private doulas who have a client who seeks care at Wombkeepers, we offer single episode of care contracts with private doulas for individual patients. Private doulas who anticipate having Wombkeepers patients may inquire about submitting credentials to us and establishing a standing rate to expedite future private contracts.
